Just wanted to let you know that today I was on the front page of the paper again! It's great to get this kind of publicity. Also, we are sending out the campaign letters today, and are accepting money for out campaign. Contact us if you would like to donate!

As of today, we have over all the necessary signatures to get on the ballot! Thank you to those who turned in sheets.

Now, we need to start the campaign process. If you are interested in helping, please comment on this post or use the contact us link. So far, we need to get sponsors for money for yard signs and other ways to pass the message along.

As of today, November 3ed, we have 314 signatures! How exciting to be almost at the end! Just to be on the safe side, we have decided to get a total of 350 signatures.
We would appreciate it if a few people could fill out a single sheet to help us get the 38 more we need before the snow hits.

This includes the sheets from other people, including our other circulators.

I thought I would post to let people know how its going.
We currently have over 130 signatures between me and other circulators. We are 1/3 of the way there! Thanks to everyone who has signed!

Q: Audrey, can I give your phone number to people?
A: No, you most definitely cannot, under any circumstances give my phone number to anyone. Even if they want to circulate, tell them to use the website.

Attention: I will not be available from 8-11-10 to 8-24-10. Someone will be checking the responses, but they will be delayed. I apologize for any inconvenience. Contact Marta with questions regarding the site. She will be happy to help you. If you find a glitch or bug in the site, it will be fixed when I come back. If you find a serious glitch, something that is harming your computer or another's computer, contact Marta and she will close the site.
Someone will still be getting signatures, someone can still come to your house to get your signature. Continue to use the contact us link, someone will be checking that, it will just be delayed.

I am a St. Joseph resident.  My pedigree here is as long as any family in the 'over 100 years category.' I had 7 chickens in a cedar sided coop on my property.  We thought the chickens were within the ordinance because they were over 200 feet from the nearest residence (not as the crow flies but almost (198 feet)).  Our neighbors loved these chickens and everyone enjoyed congregating around the the garden fence to watch the chickens in their run.  Sometimes I would see several people leaning on the fence just watching the birds.  Runners, kayakers even the AEP guys stopped and enjoyed. 

However, when St. Joe decided to bar vehicular access to an access road on the side of our property they determined the 'road to no where' was a public way and the chickens were too close.  Needless to say the chickens were evicted and now live with a friend on her organic fa ... Read more »
